In YMCA Before and After School care, children participate in a balanced program of open play and structured activities. Every activity is carefully designed to spark your child’s imagination and encourage lifelong positive values.By focusing on Social-Emotional skill building, leadership development, service learning, college and career exploration, arts education, global learning, 21st century skills, family engagement, academics, health and wellness and interactive learning centers, Y programs give participants exposure to a breadth of knowledge and skills.The daily schedule will include thirty minutes for children to participate in a mix of moderate to vigorous physically active sessions. Weather permitting, these activities will take place outdoors. Digital device will be limited to homework, academic enrichment or programs that actively engage children in physical activity.Housed in local schools, YMCA School-Age Care gives your child the opportunity to engage in active play and collaborate on fun projects.   • All families who would like to use full day child care on any non-student or break days must register to attend care. Registration is on a first come, first served basis and is dependent on space available at the program location.
  • Priority registration for families enrolled in a School-Age Care PLUS plan will open 2 weeks prior to the date of care.
  • Non school day registration will open to everyone 1 week prior to the day of care.
  • Participants in our School-Age Care PLUS plans have full day care on non-school days included in their cost of care.
  • Participants in our School-Age Care ONLY plans pay for each day of care, upon registration.

Children will be transported After School Monday-Friday, from Elger Bay to the Utsalady SAC site on Yellow Bus- Route #12, after its afternoon Camano Island route. All Elger Bay YMCA kids will arrive to Utsalady between 4:30-4:45pm.
